Would of been better if you just explaiend that websites come from people just like you.or else these new people to the internet will think these computers just simply exist.you do not need a server computer.i can make a website and just keep my computer on all the time.and yes it will be called a server then but its not a server computer.

@federikensito If your videos are deleted from the server, they are lost. There is no such thing as "ether". However, there are some pages that archive the contents of other servers. But these may or may not have your videos. Overall, youtube is NOT a backup option. If you want to save your videos, get an account for online backup at providers like "mobileme" or, even better, an external hard drive.

@federikensito Yes you would lose the online copy of your videos. You may still have your videos on a file in your computer, but they would no longer be on YouTube. There is currently no way of storing files in the ether or thin air, but that would be very cool and very handy. Of course if someone got into the server they would probably crash quite a bit more than just a few videos.Hope this helped
