@emmaweaver721 Basically, he did something, he's not sure, but something that upset her enough to tell him to leave, but he wants her to know that he will leave because he loves her and she wants him to, but he wants to stay and will, but only if she asks him to. It illustrates what it is to really love a person. You will leave if they say they want you to because that's what they want, but you prefer to stay. Read the lyrics, you should get it then.
